Flashing Lights is a once a month party/rave held at 88 Palace in Chinatown(east broadway) which is huge dim sum restaurant converted into a glowstik/juice fest. These guys have been building a serious name and special guests in attendance have been from Mehdi to Klever and dave one(dubwar-nyc). Still running on the serious underground mailing lists, with an amazing and sexyass crowd, I highly suggest this mix. House+Disco+Techno+Rave they call themselves and certainly don’t dissapoint. I don’t know if you want call this one danceable or bangerish; but its a f*kin dayum good perfect example of a clean mashup from some of my favorties names. Supposedly some tell it, the former (“Your Love”) served as an influence for the latter (“My Girls”) but who knows with the Animal collective. Anyway listen for the great oscillating lines/voices throughout the song with minimal effects editing, works perfectly.

Yo KnobSKWAT, Can we somehow like add a page/link for SHOWS. And then like that link leads somewhere were its assorted somehow by month or state or something and anyone can add to it? Some type of open user editing blog thing thats organized well. I think that shit would be really helpful and dope and a good resource for more people to utilize our blog and a way to all keep updated. (oh and possible like the shows could be linked to where to get tix or sum shit…?!)

So, Im digging the art n sht but i have a comment/rant/complaint….I hate how when an artist is uploaded like 15 of their paintings are then put in a line down the page, and it takes up so much of the page. It makes browsing really difficult and makes it harder to find newer posts as well. Is there a way we can put like a few samples up and have a link to the rest of the pictures/paintings/art?? It would make the whole blog home page more tidy, and less intrusive.

SSSSSsssssssSSSoooooooooo this Dj that used that used to be named ‘etan’ and I realized that me nob and some others chilled with this dood(and toby who booked him or something) at Le Royale in NYC after his set and got a little slopping Due to legal reasons, Etan has had to change his name to Shuttle. To commemorate this turn of events, he’s put together a pretty eclectic mix including a few of his own tracks and remixes. I’ve been listening/ipodfacialing this mix for a few now, having no idea who it was or where i got it from cause of the name change, etc. Well finally looked em up. This mix is a pretty good banger and a great example for electro Breakbeat, Drum n Bass, Ambient and some indie even mixed in. shuttle has definitely got skills.

I don’t care if your “extra special” post-sale tickets are for charity…i am not paying 50 bones to go see you SPIN your jams. and the NYC show…Ooah/Orchard Lounge/Lipp/Lazer Sword four hour after party honestly sounds more like what i want to hear out of electronic music sets.
Why the fuck don’t you charge shitty prices for these east coast shows AND play a real show like you are going to do all across the west coast and the south the weeks afterwards? Do you really think I (an sts9 fan) want to wait around til at least August to watch you play your new album-which has already taken half a year to become half as decent of jams as from prior albums?
You say you are moving to a higher plane of music playing with Peaceblaster, well talk is fucking cheep. And a huge crowd of spunions in ATL who cant give me a straight answer as to how the songs sounded don’t impress me much.
Honestly, you fucked up with me STS9. And you will have to redeem yourselves. And if you don’t show up to Camp Bisco you can forget me giving a damn next fall.
