“Is KiD CuDi Kid Cudi not everyone’s favorite new kid on the block right now? Kanye is calling Cudi’s debut album, Man on the Moon a “classic in the making,” and Cudi’s “Day N Nite” is getting crazy love all over the world. Good going dude.
The NMC dropped Cudi laying a verse over Rich Boy and Polow Da Don’s “Drop,” and the result is something running through the same muddy waters Jay-Z and Santigold ran through with “Brooklyn Go Hard.” Or maybe that’s already too much of a compliment.”

Here is an awesome live performance by Paul Simon of “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover” from 1975’s “Still Crazy After All These Years.” Paul Simon is amazing, his instrumentals are completely underrated. The drums are so haunting by rarely dropping in this song, but If I could, I would marry Paul Simon, and if he left me (since he knows so many great ways to do so), at least I got 1 night.
Here is “You’re The One” off of 2000s “You’re The One.” So this might not be a technical oldie, but it is already 2009, so it is getting there. Listen to the bass and the teasing guitar and then tell me how this song just makes you want to bite your lower lip, bob your head and go ‘oooohhhhh yeahhhhh.’ He is having a lot of fun with his newer stuff. The lyrics are a little depressing, but it is Paul Simon, and they are beautiful.
Now onto some Stevie Wonder. Here is “Part Time Lover” from 1985’s “In Square Circle”

Here is “Don’t Worry ’bout a Thing” from 1973s “Innervisions”

I put these artists up because of their significant influence to the music we listen to today. Whether we realize it or not, they were visionaries in song composition, lyrics and were able to reach millions of fans and affect their perception of the power of music. These two are classics and a must-have for any music buff.
So, Ronald Jenkees looks “special,” but the only thing special about him is his autodidact musical talent. The first video is him jamming to the drums of “Beyond Right Now,” off of Peaceblaster. And to be frank, Jenkees sounds better than the actual song. If you have seen this before, I am unapologetic. He is a lot of fun to watch and listen to. Enjoy!
Here is his Halloween Remix. “A dirty, south feel.”
He calls this, “Stay Crunchy,” an original composition.
“Throwing Fire,” another original. Gotta love the hat!
Jenkees produces some funky trip-hop, which sounds simpler than when you actually watch him play. Enough said by looking at his fingers roll over the keys. Who’s with me on getting him up to Boston/NY? Either that, or we might see him soon touring with STS9 and the like during the summer months (hopefully) on the festie circuit. He plays for fun and wants you to do the same. Here is his actual site.
Ep3 is dank (see below) and this set is absurd.
